Advantage began operations in France in 2005.
Today, we are well established in the market, with strong relationships forged with the largest French retail groups and manufacturers.
We are looking for a growth minded leader to not only manage our current portfolio, but also identify and co-create new opportunities.
Reporting to our VP for Commercial and Market Development in our Toronto HQ, the successful candidate ideally holds 15+ years of experience in key account sales and/or customer marketing roles at a large FMCG supplier, and/or has held senior management positions at a grocery or health and beauty retailer.
Client service experience at a market research firm servicing clients within the consumer goods and retail sectors is also viewed as an asset. Experience in another industry or B2B channel will also be considered.
Provide organizational, sales and client service leadership for the Advantage business in the French marketplace. Specific responsibilities include:
- Achieve sales and profit goals by maximizing client retention and increasing market penetration
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build strong business relationships with our local market clients (sponsors and retailers) and ensure that they are gaining value and insights from the Advantage program
- Manage the global client relationship with multinational CPG’s and retail groups who are HQ’d in France
- As a thought leader, help to enhance the Advantage brand within the French FMCG community through keynote presentations, conference/association participation, white papers, published articles, and other similar efforts
- Develop annual business plans for the market, and provide Advantage Home Office with regular reports and updates
- Provide leadership to the France client service, operations and field coordination teams and ensure that they deliver against their objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with the program management team in Toronto to ensure that the Advantage program runs smoothly
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
The position will be a combination of home and office based, with frequent travel to manufacturer and retail clients (once in-person meetings resume).
There could be occasional travel and time spent at our Toronto offices in the first few months (depending of course on global travel restrictions).
