Advantage Group International is seeking an excellent communicator and change agent to join and inspire our Human Resources team as a People Manager.

Who We're Seeking

The People Manager will provide ongoing people management and culture leadership to a global business of over 230 associates located remotely across the GTA and in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and AMEA. The successful candidate will partner with business leaders at various levels to execute the following disciplines as needed: recruitment, performance management, talent development, succession planning, learning and development and employee engagement. We are seeking a change manager who has experience building and enhancing a segmented workforce working remotely and across multiple time zones.

 

This role will be a vital member of an engaged, high-performing team with diverse skills. The successful candidate should be a self-starter who is eager to take initiative and has a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is understanding and empathetic to the unique needs of team members.

The Impact You'll Have:

The People Manager will be fundamental in elevating the company’s corporate culture to new heights.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Culture: Proactively cultivate and lead positive employee relations, a motivated workforce, and an innovative and entrepreneurial environment. Administer employee engagement surveys to measure employee satisfaction and create systems to foster improved team engagement.
  • Talent Acquisition: In collaboration with our HR Generalist, support global recruitment efforts and provide recommendations for improvement in attracting and hiring talent internationally.
  • Performance Management: Reinvigorate our performance development process to ensure adoption from all levels of the organization. Monitor, coach and calibrate regular performance check-ins for all employees with managers.
  • Organizational Structure: Work closely with leaders on headcount planning to build a business case for any structural or headcount changes.
  • Learning and Development: Create and manage mentorship and development programs, identify training needs, and facilitate training across every department and level.
  • Project Management: Champion the implementation of HR projects including new systems and processes. Deliver cohesive and consistent company-wide training to ensure adoption.
  • Operations: Assist with the overall operations of the human resources and culture leadership, anticipating other duties and projects as assigned.

The Qualifications That Matter:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Five years of experience as an HR Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner
  • Exceptional employee management skills, active listener, trustworthy, accountable, and a positive attitude
  • Experience providing support, advising, coaching and training employees at various levels in an organization
