Advantage Group UK is proud to partner with local, national and international charities as a way of providing support and giving back to the community year-long. A cause particularly close to the UK team is Grocery Aid. GroceryAid is the national charity for grocery people in the UK and provides essential support to all Grocery Industry colleagues in need.
Advantage UK were recently one of the major sponsors and proud supporters of the annual 2019 Sporting Lunch organised by GroceryAid. The event was attended by more than 1,200 colleagues from across 200 companies in Grocery and FMCG. Also in attendance were famous Sporting Legends such as David Coulthard MBE, Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, Graeme Swann, Zara Tindall MBE, Mike Tindall MBE, Rebecca Adlington OBE, Greg Rutherford MBE and Chemmy Alcott to name just a few. It was fantastic afternoon of fundraising, entertainment and networking, raising a total of £635,347.

As a major sponsor, Advantage UK were delighted to welcome to their table and host an English Netball player Eboni Usoro-Brown who currently plays for England and for Team Bath. Amongst her many achievements, Eboni competed for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games which is also her third successive Commonwealth Games appearance. At the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, she was part of the English national netball team which stunned defending Commonwealth Games champions and world champions Australia 52-51 in the team event to secure historic gold medal.

Advantage UK is proud to be part of and to have contributed to such a worthy cause. The GroceryAid Sporting Lunch was an invaluable opportunity to help those seeking support in the grocery industry as well as network with both industry colleagues and an impressive line-up of the Sporting Heroes.
What’s Next? Supporting GroceryAid Barcode Festival
Barcode is ‘THE’ industry summer festival with an amazing atmosphere and 4,000 grocery people all having fun. There are four roof raising headline acts, 75 stalls with the best street food, and great entertainment.
“You can use Barcode Festival to inspire your people to achieve their best by rewarding them with tickets. Not only will you see improved performance across the business but you will be letting your teams know that their hard work really is valued. Once word gets out, everyone will want to get their hands on tickets!” says Richard Gittus, Relationship Manager at GroceryAid.
As proud supporters of GroceryAid, Advantage UK is using Barcode Festival 2020 as a team reward initiative, and would highly recommend it to all partners in the grocery industry.
