2020 Global Learnings and Future Expectations for Supplier and Retailer Partners

2020 has been a year of unprecedented change, prompting suppliers and retailers worldwide to elevate their collaboration levels by working better together as they navigated their way through the disruptions and challenges brought on by Covid-19.
To measure the strength of this business partner collaboration in the face of a historic global crisis, Advantage Group included a specialized practice in the 2020 Advantage ReportTM program.
Retailers and suppliers were able to rate each other on their ability to collaborate in a crisis situation. This additional measure has shown participating suppliers and retailers how their business partners perceived them when it came to providing support and value as the pandemic unfolded.
Qualitative interviews were also conducted with thousands of respondents to probe “How, if at all, their expectations of their business partners changed or will change in the post-crisis world?“ Discover where expectations align and differ between partners.
